Seminole County Hits a Home Run with 2025 State Softball Championships |
Seminole County continues to knock it out of the park for sports tourism — the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has selected Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood to host the 2025 FHSAA Softball State Championships, scheduled for May 20–24, 2025. This high-profile event will bring the state’s top high school softball teams, families, and fans to Seminole County for five days of championship action.
Developed in 2017 with premier amenities for elite competition, Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park features six natural turf fields, including one stadium-style field with seating for 1,500 spectators. The park has earned national attention for hosting major softball events, including the 2024 NCAA Division II Softball National Championships.
The event is expected to generate significant economic impact for local hotels, restaurants, and attractions — further reinforcing Seminole County’s position as a go-to destination for top-tier youth and collegiate sporting events.
“This is another major win for Seminole County,” said Gui Cunha, Seminole County Director of Economic Development & Tourism. “Our continued investment in championship-caliber facilities is paying off, and we’re proud to welcome Florida’s best student-athletes and their families for an unforgettable week of competition.”
Hosted in partnership with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports), tournament schedules and ticketing information will be announced soon at FHSAA.com. |
